Industry 5.0 thinking highlights the integration of human intelligence with AI for both learners and leaders. Some might say that Industry 5.0 carries a rather optimistic outlook as it envisions a future workplace where human creativity and emotional intelligence are seamlessly integrated with advanced AI, fostering innovation and inclusivity. An Industry 5.0 vision also suggests that enhancements to AI in education will offer significant value through personalised learning, thereby cultivating a better learning culture within organisations. The core principle of Industry 5.0 is its prioritisation of human-machine collaboration and sustainability, balancing technological advances with social and environmental responsibilities.
While this seems pie-in-the-sky thinking, isn’t part of our responsibility to think beyond? Should we not take the lead in shaping the narrative on the future of work and learning by being bold in. As AI reshapes our world, it brings both opportunities and challenges, what we can envision for ourselves, our learners and our employees – especially as we strive to nurture growth?
In her keynote, Dr Naeema Pasha will share insights from her work on Industry 5.0 at Henley Business School. She will discuss how this means creating a world where Human-AI symbiosis is the norm and nurturing learning for growth is a continuous aim. For this to happen Dr Pasha will emphasise the critical role of emotional intelligence, ethical reasoning, and inclusive leadership. As Industry 5.0 has at its core the essential human traits, emotional intelligence self-awareness, empathy, and interpersonal skills are vital qualities for navigating the complexities of modern life and work in this transformative era in which we belong.
