A lot of people familiar with Moodle know that Moodle LMS is open source, and that we have a very active Moodle community (if you’re reading this, you may already be a part of it!). By those powers combined, we benefit from a superpower called community contributions!
There are numerous invaluable ways the community contributes to Moodle LMS, one of which is through development efforts. In this session we’ll look into the very near future where Moodle HQ not only continues to support community contributors’ development efforts, but has an exciting new dedicated team with laser focus on enhancing the ways we work together, and ensures our developer community has all of the tools and resources they need to thrive and succeed long into the future.
We will look at some of the key early initiatives the new Community Contributions Team has planned, how we will create a clearer and more streamlined experience for new and long-term code contributors alike, as well as how this benefits the wider Moodle Community and everyone around the world using Moodle LMS.
Whether you are curious about how the community contributes code to Moodle LMS, or are a seasoned contributor wanting to learn what exciting new initiatives the future holds, this session will be informative for anyone in (or interested in) the Moodle community.
Attendees will leave with insights into the benefits of our active Moodle community, and how we’re planning to foster community contributions into the future.
