MoodleMoots provide a space for edtech enthusiasts and Moodle users to collaborate on how to innovate with our open source LMS and improve the way we teach and train. That includes our Moot sponsors, who can speak to Moodle users about how to  enhance their Moodle sites to support their teaching and training projects.

Catalyst IT Australia is our Gold Sponsor at MoodleMoot Australia 2019. Catalyst are a global group of open source software specialists with teams in the UK, Australia and New Zealand that have contributed to the success of Moodle since 2004. They offer a full suite of Moodle services from front-end consulting through custom feature development to managed hosting, including migration to and deployment in cloud infrastructure. Today we talk to Andrew Boag, Managing Director, about what to expect at the Moot.

Moodle HQ: Hi there, thank you for talking to us today. For those who might not know Catalyst, could you tell us a little about your solution and what role it plays in on-line learning with Moodle?

Andrew: Catalyst is a leader in designing and implementing learning platforms based on the open source learning management system (LMS) Moodle.
Since 2004 we have built an international reputation as Moodle technical and support specialists for high-volume and high availability Moodle hosting and support. We have also distinguished ourselves as core Moodle developers and integrators and are official Moodle Partners.
Catalyst performs a wide range of Moodle developments and enhancements for our clients but are specialists in complex and bespoke and multi-system integrated Moodle solutions.
We offer our clients that experience and capability, along with extensible, quality code to complement their specific and usually expanding online and blended training processing requirements.

Moodle HQ: What will Catalyst be presenting in their sessions at MoodleMoot Australia in July?

Andrew: This year Catalyst will be presenting on H5p one-on-one, Flash Apocalypse and maybe an intro to Moodle Development.

Moodle HQ: What can delegates expect from visiting Catalyst’s stand in the Moot?

Moodle HQ: And finally, how can delegates keep updated with Catalyst’s latest news or contact you before the Moot?
