With the recent Hurricane Irma hitting Florida, we know many Moodlers have been asking questions whether or not our MoodleMoot US 2017 – to be held in Miami from 6 – 8 November – is still going ahead or not.
Well, we have good news Moodlers…
YES, MoodleMoot US 2017 – Florida is going ahead and we at Moodle HQ, are really happy to share some important updates and changes for this upcoming conference.
We hope you will be as excited as we are with these updates:
As you might be aware if you have been watching our Chief Moodler’s recent presentations on “Moodle for the next 10 years” at the German, French, Romanian and New Orleans Moots, you would be aware we have some key projects we are currently working on.
Two of those are MoodleNet and Learn Moodle.
Our Education team, headed by Tom Murdock, have been working on new Learn Moodle courses behind the scenes and in this Moot we want to introduce key concepts of our new Learn Moodle curriculum.
We also want you to be part of the development process – tell us what you think, what we should do next, what have we missed – and much more.
The same with our current plans for MoodleNet – help us get it off the ground and give us ideas on what you have seen worked well and what we need to consider for our new community site.
With this two important things in mind, we’ve changed the program for MoodleMoot US 2017 to give us time with you to plan and envision the key projects with us.
One of the main reasons for going ahead with our MoodleMoot US 2017 event in Miami is because we want to support not only our Moodlers in the region but also the Miami community during this rebuilding phase.
With that in mind, we have extended our early bird registration prices until…forever – well at least until before the first day of the Moot, which is Monday 5 November.
We’d love to see you there and help us support our Moodlers and the community in Miami.
Help us spread the word about our new program and supporting Miami by sharing this article, letting your peers and networks about it and of course, coming along!
Thanks in advance Moodlers!
