MoodleMoots are a space to collaborate, learn and share Moodle and edtech experiences, and we also like to provide a space where you can be in touch with complementary software that can extend your Moodle Sites. One way to enhance your sites is through applications and plugins from our Moodle Premium Integrators, which have been certified to fit seamlessly into the Moodle learning platform.

Today we talk to Melissa – Account Executive from Bongo, one of our Premium Integrators and also a Gold Sponsor at #MootUS18.

Moodle HQ: Hello Melissa, thank you for talking to us today. We are looking forward to seeing you at MoodleMoot US in Denver.

For those unfamiliar with Bongo’s work, would you be able to provide a bit of a background?

Melissa: Bongo is a video assessment and soft skill development platform. Educational institutions, corporate training programs, and test publishers leverage Bongo’s proprietary video and feedback technology to assess learners’ soft skills and knowledge at scale.

Moodle HQ: At MootUS18, delegates will have the chance to attend presentations by you. What can delegates expect to see at Bongo’s presentations?

Melissa: We are making two presentations on Monday in the Loge at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Our first presentation focuses on the importance of soft skills and the growing gap that exists with them. Organizations worldwide have made soft skills like communication, collaboration, and critical thinking a top priority, so it’s important to discuss how we can develop these critical competencies in our learners.

In our second presentation, we will take a deep dive into the Bongo platform. As a Premium Moodle Integrator, Bongo gives users direct access to Video Assignments and Virtual Classroom technology through the LMS. We plan to show delegates how these features work and how they can best leverage them.

Moodle HQ: What will delegates find at Bongo’s table in the exhibition area?

Melissa: Along with marketing collateral that explains more about Bongo, we will also have an overview video playing that gives delegates insight into what the platform looks like and how Virtual Classroom and Video Assignments work.

Moodle HQ: Finally, where can our readers keep up with your latest news and updates?

Melissa: To stay updated, give us a follow on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, or read our latest blog posts here.
