With the focus on this year’s conference theme “Lifelong learning“, we invite Moodlers from any educational, training or learning field to come together to learn from each other, share findings, brainstorm solutions to problems and explore best practices.

  • Soft skills revolution – strengthening learners’ critical thinking, interpersonal & creative skills.
  • Using Moodle to support Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths (STEM) delivery.
  • Sharing Moodle experience – recent tales from the community.

Outlines should be one or two paragraphs in length (max 300 words); enough for reviewers to understand what you will present.

Note that MoodleMoot presentations may not be self-promoting and should contain relevant information for the Moodle Community audience.

Presentation methods

  • Lightning talk – 5 minutes
    • Duration: 5 minutes presentation (+ time for questions). Lightening talks will be presented in groups (with other presenters), with a shared question and answer time after all the presentations.
    • Proposal format: An abstract text of the presentation.
  • Short presentation – 15 minutes
    • Duration: 15 minutes (including Q&A, recommended 10 min talk + 5 min Q&A).
    • Proposal format: An abstract text of the presentation.
    • File submission: All accepted proposals will be asked to submit a PDF, ODF or PowerPoint file in advance of the conference.
  • Presentation – 30 minutes
    • Duration: 30 minutes (including Q&A, recommended 20 min talk + 10 min Q&A).
    • Proposal format: An abstract text of the presentation.
    • File submission: All accepted proposals will be asked to submit a PowerPoint file in advance of the conference.
  • Poster
    • Poster presenters will be able to discuss their posters with conference attendees at a scheduled time in the program.
    • Proposal format: Abstract describing the poster content and approach taken with an optional link to draft version.
    • Final format: All accepted posters must be printed in A1 size to ensure eligibility and to ensure that there is space for all the posters. Printing is the responsibility of the presenter.
  • Workshop
    • Duration: 60-120 minutes.
    • Proposal format: Abstract describing the topic, dynamic and objectives for the suggested workshop.
    • Final format: interactive workshops will enable participants to get hands-on and experience around the different topics of the event.
