Moodle is well known for being open source, but the support for open educational standards within the platform has been patchy over the years. This talk will aim to present a vision for the future of the Moodle platform where we utilise some of the existing and emerging educational standards to drive the platform forward. It will delve into why this is important at all levels of our community, the continued health of the plaform, and the wider edtech environment as a whole.
