There are challenges and issues with administering assessment instruments to students via computer, especially when trying to balance concerns of academic integrity with the added stress that strict monitoring protocols can introduce to the student testing and learning experience. In this session we will discuss tips, tools, and techniques that promote an honest assessment environment in Moodle quizzes. We will explore the functionality of Moodle Quiz and Safe Exam Browser and share some best practices and recommendations for configuration and settings and building quiz content in ways that support student needs while maximizing the integrity of the assessment process.
This presentation ranges from intermediate to advanced, including recommended quiz settings, using Safe Exam Browser within the quiz settings, and recommended question types for different contexts, such as Random and Calculated questions.
