Spain uses ‘local’ standard in EdTech (South America by extension) named Marsupial on K-12. This protocol allows the integration and license management between Moodle and Publishers.

We are in a project to migrate to an LTI 1.3 standard from 1Edtech, Marsupial provides License Management and we will create an extension for LTI 1.3 (named Entitlement Extension). This Entitlement Extension can be done with Blockchain to ensure the rights over the content licensed.

3ipunt is a member of EduTech Cluster, a cluster of 70 companies and institutions related with edtech in Spain.

The project goals are:

Propose a new standard.
Implement on Moodle.
Create a migrator from Moodle Marsupial activities to LTI 1.3 + extension.

The project started on May 2023 and will have some pilots on September 2024. Also got an interest from other countries that has a similar issues on license management.
