An analysis of the distribution of technology platforms and deployment models hosting Moodle LMS: An African Perspective

The aim of this research is to collect information from African universities using Moodle LMS and determine the technology platforms and deployment types hosting the Moodle LMS for various universities in Africa. Furthermore, the research will uncover the reasons or motivations for each university choosing the technology platform over the others for hosting their Moodle instance(s). The pros and cons for choosing the hosting platform and deployment type will also be explored. The findings of the research are expected to identify popular technology platforms and deployment types for hosting Moodle LMS by African universities. Additionally, it is expected that the research will make recommendations for choosing a technology platform for hosting Moodle LMS.
