• What payment options are available for tickets to attend MoodleMoot Global 2024?

  The accepted payment methods for the event are credit card and bank transfer. Bank transfer payments include an additional administration fee. We recommend attendees book by credit card where possible. All registered attendees will receive a Tax Invoice after payment for their event registration is received.

  If you choose to pay by bank transfer you will be sent a Proforma Invoice for payment. If you don’t see this in your email inbox please check your spam folder. 

  Attendees paying by bank transfer will have 14 days to pay for their registration. Please include your order number in the reference field for any bank transfers, so we can easily identify your payment.

  Note, bank transfers can take up to 5 working days to be received.

• Do you offer discounts on registration?

  Yes, we do offer a discount to local attendees, as well as early bird pricing for all. We will notify speakers of their acceptance with plenty of time to secure early-bird tickets before the deadline. See the pricing page for further information about pricing and the early bird registration deadline.

• If I have registered by the early bird registration deadline, but I haven’t paid for my registration as I am planning to pay by bank transfer, do I still benefit from the early bird price?

  Yes, you will have 14 days to pay for your registration by bank transfer once you receive your proforma invoice after you have completed your registration and we will keep the same early bird price for you during this time. After the early bird deadline, the price will increase to full price if payment has not been received within 14 days from the date of registration.

• Do I have to pay VAT or GST on the tickets?

  This year the tickets will be issued from Moodle Pty Australia, to be paid in United States Dollar (USD), and no VAT or GST applies.

• Can I attend virtually?

  No, MoodleMoot Global 2024 is a face-to-face event and all attendees will be expected to attend in person.

• Do I need to create an account to register and/or submit an abstract for the event?

  Yes, you will need to sign up as a user for the MoodleMoot Global 2024 website (moodlemoot.org) before you are able to register and/or submit an abstract proposal for the event. Once you have created an account, you can login to the website to manage your event registration and abstract submissions for the event.

• I have already created an account and I am trying to login but I get this message: "reCAPTCHA: it is very likely a bot" - What should I do?

  If you get the above message when you are trying to login to your account, you should do a password reset and it will reset access to your account.

• What does the attendee ticket price include?

  The ticket to attend the event includes:

  • Access to all the event spaces, sessions and talks.
  • Lunches and refreshments (including morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and social drinks).
  • Workshops and networking.
  • Optional Jam events (subject to booking).
  • A ticket to the Moodle Party.
  • A MoodleMoot Global 2024 t-shirt.
  • And some other surprises!
• I would like to attend one of the Moodle Jams during the event. Is that included in the event price?

  The cost of attending one of the Jam sessions (Developers DevJam, Learning Designer Jam or UX Jam) is included in the event price and your preferred session can be booked through the registration process. Please note that places are limited, so register soon to avoid disappointment.

• I am a Moodle Partner interested in attending the Global Partners Day on Monday 21st October. How can I confirm my attendance?

  Your ticket for MoodleMoot Global 2024 does not give you access to the Global Partners Day. If you are planning to attend the Global Moodle Partners Day as part of the pre-conference, you will need to confirm your attendance separately via the Moodle Partner Portal. Further details will be shared with Moodle Partners soon.

• Are travel and accommodation included in the event price?

  No, travel and accommodation are not included in the ticket price for the event. All attendees are responsible for booking and covering the costs of their own travel and accommodation arrangements.

• I can only attend the event one day. Can I share my registration with someone?

  Daily tickets will not be available at this event. A registration is for one individual delegate to attend the event. One registration may not be utilised by several individuals.

• I’m planning to attend with some colleagues. Are group bookings possible or can I book more than one ticket?

  Group bookings are not offered for this event; only individual bookings are possible. Each registration will be linked to the email address of the registered user on the event website. We will use this email address to contact you regarding your booking and provide information about the event. Each attendee may purchase one Extra Party Guest ticket. You will be able to book a ticket for an extra party guest after you have completed your registration.

• Can I bring an accompanying person to the event?

  Only registered delegates will have access to the conference areas and catering. However, you can bring an accompanying person to the MoodleMoot Party on Wednesday 23 October for an additional cost of 120 USD. This will include access to the party, a cocktail dinner and drinks. You will be able to purchase an extra party guest ticket, and fill out the necessary details, after you have completed your registration. All guests must be over 18 years of age.

• Will participants receive a certificate of attendance after attending the event?

  Yes, approximately a week after the event, all attendees will receive an online certificate of attendance via email.

• Is there a dress code?

  The suggested dress code is (business) casual, but you can wear whatever makes you feel comfortable during the event. The local climate will be warm (around 25ºC), the conference rooms will have air conditioning, so we recommend you bring a light jacket.

  More information about the party theme will be communicated to attendees prior to the event.

• Will the hotel and conference rooms have WiFi?

  Yes, you will be provided with an access code to use the WiFi connection during the conference.

• Is there going to be a parking space available at the conference venue?

  Yes, the Yucatán Convention Center (CIC)  has a big car park that conference attendees will be able to use for free during the days of the conference.

• I’m interested in sponsoring the event. What should I do?

  If you would like to sponsor the event, you will need to complete and submit the MoodleMoot global sponsorship application form and we will contact you to confirm your preferred sponsorship type and the next steps.

• Is there going to be a MoodleMoot Global event app available for the event?

  Yes, there will be a MoodleMoot Global 2024 mobile app available to all attendees prior, during and after the event. All registered attendees and sponsors will get access to the event app at least a week before the event starts and for a month after the conference. Read further details and instructions about how to install the mobile Event App.

• How can I get in contact with the event organisers?
