Moodle Service Manager at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

Riana has been the Moodle Service Manager for the University of Illinois’ College of LAS since 2020, and has been a Moodle user for over a decade. As service manager, she coordinates updates, custom development, bug fixes, and all other changes made to the University’s Moodle instances. She leads a cross-functional team of user support specialists, developers, and infrastructure engineers to offer a top-notch Moodle experience to their approximately 20,000 users.

Most recently, her team has configured a custom Moodle environment enabled as an LTI tool within the Canvas LMS to allow instructors the Moodle tools they love while simplifying course access to a single LMS for students. As the College of LAS transitions to using Moodle in this new way, she is committed to helping instructors leverage all of the educational tools available to them.

At MoodleMoot Global 2024 Riana will be presenting Pushing the Limits of Moodle as an LTI Tool.
