The State Examination Center (SEC), with more than 30 years of experience in the assessment field is successfully conducting school leaving examinations and the admission process to educational institutions of different levels. The SEC is also plays a significant role in the formation of state policy on civil service and administers exams for admission to civil service and for continuation of civil service roles.
Along with various types of paper examinations, the Center also conducts online and onsite computer-based exams using the latest advancements in computer technologies. In this direction, the examination capabilities of Moodle are intensively used.
Applicants taking the exams for admission to master’s degree, residency, civil service, and for various certification exams can take the exams throughout the year in the Center’s specially equipped exam building and receive their results immediately.
To organize this process, various types of software have been developed and integrated into Moodle for automatic conversion of test items from MS Word document files to Moodle xml format and for ensuring exam security. In the future it is envisaged that artificial intelligence will be applied to the process of selection and assessment of competencies, as well as in the process of automated item generation.
