Turnitin would like to present the Asset Processor to the Moodle community. Asset Processor is 1EdTech’s latest extension to the LTI 1.3 specification. Moodle HQ, Catalyst, and Turnitin are working in collaboration to develop Asset Processor within Moodle’s Assignment, Forums, and Quizzes. This presentation will connect to the Moodle theme of optimizing outcomes and include the following:
- Technical Overview of Asset Processor’s architecture and integration with LTI standards.
- Demo of how the new Asset Processor works with Moodle Assignments.
- Discussion of how the transition from a custom plugin integration model to a standards-based approach allows for continual updates without the requirement to install manual updates.
- Overview of how the new Asset Processor will benefit institutions that use Moodle by offering the option to easily integrate into various Moodle assessment types.
- Future plans for further development of the Asset Processor
